Teaching and working with children is a lifelong passion. In my youth I would "tutor" children at my mother's daycare. When I was eight, I taught other children addition and letter sounds. As an adult I have continued this through my education. I completed a bachelor's and master's degree back to back. I went on to complete an additional 30 credits at the graduate level as I feel continuing education is important for any professional. I am licensed to teach in the state of Massachusetts. As a member of my school's Data Team I listen to students' concerns and create strategies to get students the support they need in the classroom. I am also part of my school district's Superintendent's Roundtable where I have the opportunity to confer on programs and curriculum. In addition, I mentor and teach new teachers, sharing with them new methods and helping them acclimate. I am a certified elementary school teacher for grades 1-6 for Lexington Public Schools. I am also a certified ESL teacher and have taught at a nursery school. Teaching is the greatest gift of all. I want to ensure your child succeeds in school. It is amazing feeling to see a child overcome challenges and apply what they have learned. Even though I teach full time, I know there is nothing like one-on-one instruction, which is why tutoring is one of my favorite things to do.
