Experience
I earned my undergraduate in French from the College of the Holy Cross. As part of my education I was able to study in France. It was during my time there that I first began privately tutoring students. While there I tutored students of all ages in English. Upon graduation, I returned to Bordeaux, France, where I had the opportunity to work in elementary schools as part of the Teaching Assistant Program. While there I helped develop lessons, read to the children, and worked with them in small groups to improve their English language skills. This experience ignited a passion for teaching and I spent two more years teaching math to 6th grade students as part of the AmeriCorps program once I returned to the United States. I have continued my work in serving students by joining an education nonprofit that has a mission of increasing students' attendance, good behavior, and grades. I also continue to privately tutor students in several subject areas, including French 1-4, algebra 1, elementary math, middle school math, pre-algebra, math, languages, English, reading, and conversational French. I work with students because I deeply believe that each one deserves the highest quality education possible and the individualized academic attention which is so critical for success.
